I am pro choice, here’s why. Why are YOU pro choice? Here’s my reasoning for being pro choice. I feel that, if?

Question by Lex: I am pro choice, here’s why. Why are YOU pro choice? Here’s my reasoning for being pro choice. I feel that, if?
Here’s my reasoning for being pro choice.
I feel that, if the pro lifers were to get their wish and abortion would be made illegal everywhere, our world would change a lot. There would be a lot more people going to jail.
For instance, of COURSE there are going to be women who still get secret abortions, and there would be women who got caught. I’m assuming that the punishment for it would be jail-time?
Also, I feel that if a woman would be forced to go through with a pregnancy, she would be very unemotionally attached to what’s inside of her, anxious about what her body is going through, and maybe even hate towards it. Studies show that those types of things have a negative effect on a baby during crucial stages of it’s development. So the baby is more likely to grow up with emotional problems, and be unstable as an adult.
I just feel like a woman should never be forced to carry a baby she doesn’t want. Yes, she could give it up for adoption, but in the end, it’s HER body and she can do as she pleases
i am asking a question… i’m also sharing my opinion… did you even read my question???
actually, i read an entire article about it. from a valid source. i’m not just making things up….
i’m not arguing about “my mother being pro life” and “what if my mother aborted me.” my mom CHOSE to keep me. i’m talking about forcing women to stay pregnant when they clearly do not want to be.
?- i agree with you completely!! thank you

  1. I am pro choice before I am pro life. I don’t agree with stopping the potential to destroy life but I do agree it’s a women’s choice. Men don’t have to have children, women shouldn’t have to either. It’s ultimately their choice.

  2. Just because I’m pro-life doesn’t mean I want abortions to be illegal. I don’t like abortion and I will encourage anyone who asks not to get an abortion, but that doesn’t mean I want a woman to take a coat hanger to her vag as opposed to doing it safely.

“Also, I feel that if a woman would be forced to go through with a pregnancy, she would be very unemotionally attached to what’s inside of her, anxious about what her body is going through, and maybe even hate towards it. I think you’re talking out of your ass. I have been anxious and worried and stressed and mentally emotional my whole pregnancy and everything is fine so far. I would be more worried about the women who do drugs and alcohol while pregnant. That’s a big pathetic excuse for women who may not be able to handle pregnancy when you know they can. NO ONE is prepared for pregnancy, whether they were planning it or not. Nor is anyone prepared for parenthood. For all I know, a woman could eventually feel attached to the baby. Why do you think they don’t let most women look at ultrasounds before an abortion? I wasn’t emotionally attached to MY baby until I saw him on ultrasound at 11 weeks. So it’s no wonder that the doctors that do show ultrasound before abortion may change some peoples minds.

I understand it’s a woman’s body to do as she pleases but the baby isn’t her body, it’s a separate one inside her who doesn’t get a say so.

And I’ll repeat, I’m pro-life but I don’t think abortion clinics should be illegal. I don’t like abortion, and anything late into the second trimester should be illegal at least, but if someone is going to abort regardless they might as well do it the safe way.

  3. Are you disappointed that your mother was pro-life while she was carrying you? The body she is murdering is not her body, but that of another human being, it is not HER body. If she didn’t want to be pregnant, the time for choice is when she either lays down with him, or allows him to have his way with her, or not–this is the time for choice. Good day.

  4. I am pro choice. Medically, for the woman it is sometimes a necessity, abortions if outlawed will be attempted at home instead of in a medical facility, rape and incest victims can not always bring themselves to carry a child from these types of encounters, and there are many children today in orphanages or in foster care waiting for homes. I think it is a tough decision to make, but it should be the choice of both female and male, if it was a consenting encounter that lead to their child and it is not a medical reason for the abortion. I don’t think though mid or late gestation abortion should be allowed, except maybe for a dire medical need.

  5. i like your argument and I completely agree with you. according to them, god gave them free will, and shouldn’t that be enough to allow them to make their own choices? I agree with you and hopefully people who are pro-life will realize the many negatives of getting rid of abortion

  6. A woman doesn’t make a choice to have a baby and it magically appears on the delivery date. First, she chooses (save being raped) to have sex which is attached to the possibility of becoming pregnant. The two aren’t separate… they go hand in hand.

If a woman (or teen for that matter) can make the conscious decision to have an abortion based on reasons, whatever they may be (too young, doesn’t want to be a mother, mess up her education, etc) then she also can make the conscious decision to abstain from sex until she is ready to be a mother. (This goes for men as well)

The pro-choice side tries to make it sound as if the pro-life side is forcing women to get pregnant against their will. I think we can agree that most teens and adults (and even kids) know that having sex can lead to pregnancy, even while using BC. They know that one of the consequences of the CHOICE to have sex is a human life is formed.

The pro-life side is NOT forcing women to have babies. It doesn’t even come close. But, if a couple should choose to have sex, and then get pregnant as a result, they should not have the right to kill off the result of their irresponsibility – their human child.

We are not talking about a non-being here. We are talking about a human life! Humans are being killed by the millions each year, and it’s legal!

You can throw out all sorts of arguments – the child is unwanted, will have emotional problems, will be poor, will grow up in a dysfunctional family, etc. etc. Nothing, I repeat Nothing, is an excuse for murder… and murder of the most innocent at that!

Now, as for the legality of what “would happen,” let’s simply roll back the clock 40 years and look at what DID happen to those who had an abortion. Life threatening situations, such as ectopic pregnancies or uterine cancer, the removal of the child were allowed.
But for your 99.9% of abortions, it was the doctors, or persons who performed an abortion who were put in jail. People try to argue that the abortionists were doing it out of concern for women and doing it in secret. Anyone who believes that is extremely naive or gullible. The abortionists did it then and now for one thing…. the money. Abortion is HIGHLY profitable. If they really had concern for the women in the “backalley” abortions, you think they would have learned to do it so that they didn’t rip out the woman’s uterus or puncture her bowels and bleed her half to death.
They SHOULD go to jail for harming women! Abortion, harms women – physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. It hurts the men, and it kills the children. It’s the highest form of child abuse their is. How people can sit back and say “it’s perfectly fine” is beyond normal and beyond reason.

We have truly become an unreasonable society. Where children can be killed for the sake of the mother or father’s desire to get rid of the consequence of their actions, is truly an abominable culture.

“It is a true poverty that a child must be killed so you can live as you wish” – Mother Teresa

  7. This is the troble with America. Because people that have never seen life
one on one are in charge. They act as thou this is something new. They
teach them to hate Americans and their own people use them like animals.
But dont learn english. Morons. It is mexican ausing mexicans. Look around
your hood and find that big house full of mexicans. They are slavers.. Turn
them in. There is money in it for you. So turn in all houses you see with a
lot of mexicans in them. Get cash.

  8. USA…If you didnĀ“t have fought a senseless war after 9/11 against a few
terrorists who attacked you just one time, everyone would praise you for
your forgivness, noone would hate you. Your dead soldiers would be still
alive. And you would have billions of money left. So you could spend all
this money and attention in other thing like stopping sex trafficking.
