  1. In legal terms it is what it is. When an illegal immigrant has children in the US, the children are basically citizens. If the illegal immigrant is caught without legal documents, he or she will get deported. Since the kids are born in the US. They would have to stay. If they were illegal as well they would go to with the mother. Since they are minors Foster Care has to take over control. Deportation means that they cannot come back to the US ever again and they are sent back to their home country permentaly. There is no way that she can see her son. Unless the son becomes an adult and sees her in her home country. I wasn’t able to see the link.

  2. no ofcourse not! this is an ABOMINATION! to lose your parental rights you need to be proven to be an unfit PARENT, just because someone entered illegally doesn ot make them an unfit parent! anyone deported should have the choice to take their children with them, you cannot separate mother and child for no good reason! it is absolutely inhumane and i hope this is illegal

edit: i wanted to add that i am absolutely disgusted with the above comments, illegal immigrants are NOT ANIMALS!

  3. I seriously doubt any court proceeding terminating parental rights on the grounds that the parent entered the country illegally would be upheld on appeal. The right to parent one’s child is not reserved to citizens of the US.

  4. I saw that on the news, I was in shock. And to those of you that say she deserves it, I feel pity for all of you… You shouldn’t have any children at all. My question is: Does the child deserve what happened as well?
